What to Take and How To Have A Memorable Experience at a Car Show in Pigeon Forge

If you are wanting to look around and admire all the cars in Pigeon Forge, we recommend packing some folding chairs for your trip. There are also areas in town (Walmart, CVS, REI, Walgreens, Bass Pro, Kroger, Publix) where you can purchase one if you forgot yours at home or want a souvenir to bring home. Visitors will usually take their folding chairs and line up along the sidewalks that border the parkway. They usually never leave- They bring coolers with water and a variety of snacks or meals. Visitors also tend to eat out or grab takeout at the many restaurants that are within walking distance.

How To Avoid Traffic During The Rod Runs and Car Shows

We recommend starting your day early (as early as possible). Starting early gives you an advantage for dining out, and traveling from A to B, and offers less crowding while shopping. It may even be in your best interest to come to town early to get into some activities before the town becomes full and immobile. Consider walking the Pigeon Forge Parkway to easily navigate the traffic. Be mindful of crosswalks and intersections as cars tend to do loops allowing stationary viewers the opportunity to be seen.
