Fantasy Of Lights Christmas Parade

DESCRIPTION
The annual celebration of the Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade will step off at 7:30 pm and will begin the descent from the Baskins Creek Bypass and East Parkway. Spectators can expect to see a spectacular lineup of balloons, locally decorated floats by community groups and businesses, and local high school marching bands that will span throughout downtown leading to its ending point of traffic light #10. Onlookers are strongly encouraged to arrive early!
Tree Lighting Ceremony:
The grand illumination ceremony of the Gatlinburg Christmas Tree will be hosted by City Officials at 7:25 pm on the Parkway Plaza at Traffic Light #3.
Parade Route:
The route for the parade begins at Baskins Creek By-Pass. The parade then travels to Traffic Light #3 and will turn south onto the Parkway, and finally ends at Traffic Light #10.
Lane Closure Information:
At approximately 4:30 pm outbound lane closures will begin. All U.S. Route 321 traffic will be switched over to one lane, outbound side, to make room for the staging of the floats. At approximately 6:50 pm, all inbound traffic will be closed down and then at approximately 7 pm, all traffic along the route of the parade will shut down.
