The Romantic Retreat at Heartland Cabins is a small quaint cabin located in the art district of Gatlinburg. It was very clean with a hot tub outside and a jacuzzi in the cabin. It was so quiet outside, we never saw a deer, bear, or hardly saw any birds. But, there was a full moon for Halloween? If you want to spend some quiet alone time, go to this cabin.

We loved this cabin. It was far enough away from the main areas that it was quiet and peaceful but close enough that everything was just a short drive away. It was perfect for the two of us. my wife and I had a great time at Romantic Retreat. The place is quiet and the road is barely traveled. While inside you can hear cars go bye there is mostly quiet inside. We used the jacuzzi and it was nice. We never used the hot tub basically because we had the jacuzzi and did not want to get cold outside. Everything is great if you are wanting just to be away from everything. We spent 3 of our days grabbing some food one or two times and the rest of time just chilling in the cabin. I would probably describe it as cozy. Good place just to hang with your spouse. One thing I thought was kind was they checked up on us to see if we got to the cabin because it was a snow storm on day we were coming in. While we did not make it to the cabin till next day, they did give us great advice about when the roads would be warmed over and snow gone.

This was our second time staying in Romantic Retreat, and it surely won't be our last. It's located on a nice quiet street in the Arts and Crafts District, away from all the noise and distractions of downtown Gatlinburg. Yet while remaining geographically close to the main strip in Gatlinburg and just a short drive to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. The property name says it all, it's built to accommodate two people. If I did have to nit-pick, the bed is a little squeaky with the slightest bit of movement for those who tend to roll around in their sleep. Other than that, it's pretty perfect little getaway for a couple in need of one!

The cabin had an ideal location for us; being between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with the option of using back roads to avoid high traffic areas. The cabin was cozy, clean, and all the amenities (hot tub, jacuzzi tub, fireplace, etc.) were very nice additions to enjoy during our stay. The Heartland rental property number that you called if you had any questions had a helpful representative on the line no matter who it was. They made the whole process very easy. The only minor setback was the day of arrival they were supposed to send an email with the access code by 4 PM. It was almost 5 PM and I had not received an email so I called and he said that she had put in that she sent the email, but didn't actually send it. I think his name was Jordan and he was apologetic and gave us the access code and answered our questions.

We were sad to leave this cute little cabin! It was super clean and had everything we needed to relax after long days hiking or exploring. Location was remote and private, yet only a short distance away from food and attractions. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed itself might be on its last leg (quite creaky and wobbly at times), but other than that, no complaints whatsoever! Would definitely return.

Just what we needed

We certainly enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was almost perfect. The outdoor spa provided a much needed relaxation jolt each day. Although it cerainly was not alot of room it was perfect for the two of us. The fireplace provided an ambience that certainly made the stay more enjoyable when we did have time to relax. The xplore option saved money and was an added bonus for us. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy a home away from home. Since I have had a couple hip replacements, the bed provided a few challenges in comfort, but aside from that---- we could not have asked for more!!

The cabin and its amenities were perfect for the “romantic retreat” my partner and I were seeking. The check-in process was easy, and the communication with the property managers was great. We had a couple super minor issues (lightbulb burned out, lock was sticking), which they quickly fixed. The location was quiet, yet close to downtown Gatlinburg, which was perfect for us.

Very cute cabin that is setup perfectly for a couple to have a romantic getaway. Tub is VERY large with a direct view of the fireplace right next to it. I would a 100% return to this cabin for another trip to visit Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge as both are only a short drive away.

Great 30th Anniversary getaway

Very easy check-in (remotely). Cabin was just right for the two of us. Issue with an ant invasion due to lots of rain (BUT pest control was very quick to come and take care of them). It was just a very pleasant stay, nice and quiet. Exactly what we needed!

When we arrived there was an issue with the hot tub and one of the light switches. There was an electrician and maintenance for the hot tub at the property before we could get unpacked. Great location away from the downtown craziness, but less than a 5 minute drive to the action.

Nice Honeymoon Cabin

We enjoyed the cabin and loved the location being slightly off the beaten path but close to Gatlinburg. Our only two issues, which were not horrible, included very poor WiFi and the need for a mattress protector/fitted sheet that would stay on the bed. Just lying down for a short nap caused them both to come off the bed.

Quiet wooded cabin

We wanted to get away and de-stress so this cabin provided a quiet retreat in the Arts and Crafts area which was nice for shopping and food. This our second time using Heartland, they are great to work with. This cabin didn’t have the views of our previous rental and was right off a main road but turned out to be very quiet. The cabin itself was perfect for two people. It had a well equipped kitchen but would have been nice if there was salt and pepper and coffee filters (enough for the number of days of stay). The mattress was pretty bouncy and uncomfortable and needs updated. The jetted tub was a nice addition since rain prevented us from using the outdoor hot tub. Would definitely recommend using Heartland, thanks for making our Anniversary weekend relaxing.

We had a great stay and the customer service was excellent! The cabin was very clean, with just a few updates needed. The handle on the refrigerator was broken, and of course, we didn't notice right away, but did call it in and customer service was very helpful. Pleasant and conveniently located

The cabin was very clean and met our needs. It was close to the Smokey Mountain National Park which was where we spent most of our time. My only criticism is that the mattress was too soft but that’s a personal preference. I really have no complaints; for the money I thought it was quite acceptable.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay. This is the fourth time we have used Heartland Cabin Rentals, and the service exceeded our expectations. The staff was very attentive and helpful from the day we booked our stay. There was constant communication throughout via phone, text and emails. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It was very nice to have the hot tub, jacuzzi and pool table. The serenity was very relaxing as well. The only two negatives were that the road to get there was a little steep and rough. We used 4 wheel drive just to make it easier. Also, I think there could've been a couple small night lights downstairs and one in the upstairs bathroom. Other than that we totally enjoyed our stay.

This was my first time renting an air b&b. My boyfriend and I loved the cute cabin vibe. The inside was very cozy, comfy, and decorated nicely. Staff were super responsive and helpful. If you’re the type that likes firm beds, this place is for you. I embrace my inner Goldie Lockes and prefer a comfy bed. I also enjoy sheets that match the comfy and silky feeling. The hot tub worked great for our stay and we used it often. If you’re someone that enjoys sleeping in or having the sun come through the window wakes you, this cabin isn’t for you. There is a beautiful large window that has no curtain and will surely wake you up in the morning. If you’re like me, an early riser, then you’ll have no issues and enjoy this place.

The drive up to the rental has a small and narrow road, I’d recommend renting if you have an SUV, a truck or vehicle with 4WD.

We enjoyed alone time, quiet location, and more secluded than if we stayed at a hotel. I will definitely rent this cabin again!

We loved this cabin so much. It was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon. The hot tub and jacuzzi make for a great addition to the cabin itself. The distance from the cabin to absolutely anything we did was perfect, right around 15 minutes to anything we wanted but far enough out that we felt like we weren’t too close to everything.

A wonderful experience!

Everything was as advertised. I was a little leery of not being able to deal in person, but on short notice it was my only option. The staff walked me through the process. The internet advertisement and instructions were dead on and the most important part, the outcome was great! My wife and I needed a getaway to refresh and recharge and the cabin rental we had was just what the doctor ordered! I know sometimes things don't always work out as planned and things go wrong, but not this time so I have no complaints to know how they would have been handled. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and secluded but still very close to areas to shop and eat. I would have given it a 5 star review if it wasn't for the plumbing issue we had. The toilet in the bedroom began leaking and it was completely repaired the same day we reported it. It was a minor inconvenience but nothing that either of us were upset with.

We really enjoyed staying at the Cozy Mountain Hideaway! The Check in was more than easy. Everyone at Heartland Rentals goes above and beyond to make sure that you have any and everything you will need in your time of stay. The cabin itself was perfect. The cabin was clean and everything was in easy to find places. It was just a few miles from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so it made for an easy drive whichever way we decided to go. We spent most of our time out exploring the town but we did spend a few days just hanging out at the cabin. The view from the porch was beautiful and the weather was perfect the time of year that we went. The swing made for a perfect morning coffee view and relaxation. When we take another trip to the mountains, we will definitely be staying at the Cozy Mountain Hideaway again!

This cabin is all it is said to be and more. Quiet, cozy and overall homey. Beautiful scenery outdoors as well as a simple beauty to the decor inside. I f you are looking for peace and simple comfort this is the placee to be. We sat in rocking chairs listening to the birds for hours and talking. The hot tub is excellent and made for restful evenings. There was a problem with the hot tub and after I called they were there to repair it in 15 minutes.We are coming with another couple in April and getting another cabin that is bigger, but for future triips for the 2 of us it will be Cozy Mountain Hideaway. There is just a magic there!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful!!! The cabin was soooo clean!! Even the outside porch was extremely clean and very well taken care of. Also in a great location, perfectly located everywhere we wanted to go within a short drive! We will definitely be back and will stay with heartland again!

Only downfall that we can say about the cabin is that the TV in the livingroom could of been a little bigger and/or have a newer one in the bedroom so we could watch a movie at the end of the day a little better. This is not a make or break for us though since there was so many other things to do to keep us busy.

Awesome!

The cabin far exceeded our expectations. It is every bit cozy and just private enough. I could tell that a lot of care and pride went into this cabin, all the way to the smallest details. The cabin had everything we needed, and the jacuzzi was my best friend during our stay, especially after some of the long busy days we had walking around downtown Gatlinburg. I loved sitting out on the swing in the mornings to get a little reading in and listening to the rooster. We were even visited by a momma bear and three of her cubs in the front yard! We got to watch safely from the inside, while the cubs were climbing the big tree out front, and the momma bear sat near the tree waiting patiently for her babies. When the cubs got through having fun, they just trailed behind the momma bear on down the road into the woods. It was an awesome sight to witness! We definitely wasn’t expecting that! In conclusion, we had a wonderful relaxing stay at Cozy Mountain Hideaway cabin. Thank you!

The cabin is very nice, but there are some things that could use attention. There is no light for the outside parking and no light over the stairway. An ice maker would be nice. No closet to hang clothes. Perhaps a small beh/table could be put in the upstairs bath for more room. No where to place towels, clothes, etc.

Cozy Relaxed and Wonderful

Everything was wonderful about our stay. Just like the name of the cabin it was very cozy. We stayed a whole week and it wasn't long enough. The cabin was warm and inviting and private enough to feel like we were alone on the mountain. GPS took us straight to the cabin so getting there was not an issue in the slightest.

It was a beautiful weekend away in the cabin. The Cabin is just like the picture presented it to be. Very peaceful place to spend a relaxing weekend and only a 10-15 drive to downtown Gatlinburg or the entrance to the National Park which is were we spent most of our time. The only draw back was first trying to find the cabin at night, like many other people have said i would suggest finding it during the daytime to make it easier. Serene Cabin Stay Enhanced by Ample Natural Lighting

When my wife and I planned our trip to the area, we were excited to go hiking and experience the Smokey Mountains;

Having been overcome by how peaceful we felt at CMH, we suspended our outdoor adventures until Thursday afternoon.

While at CMH, we thoroughly enjoyed the two person outdoor hot tub, which was located inside a screened-in porch on one of the two neighborless sides of the home. We also enjoyed the indoor double-wide/two person jacuzzi tub. What a great place to relax, read, spend generous amounts of quality time with the woman I love, and do "other things" together.

Oh wait, the wrap-around-porch is outfitted with a porch swing and two rocking chairs facing the woods—Brilliant!

For how secluded CMH made us feel, I was thoroughly surprised to be greeted by reliable Internet, not to mention the added bonus of 15/5 Mbps download/upload speeds.

We never once turned on either television; seriously, it never once crossed our minds. The peaceful nature of all that surrounded us was sufficient to hold our attention for our entire stay.

When we finally left CMH we used the Gateway to Fun pass to go whitewater rafting with USA raft and zip lining on 4.5 miles of cables with Legacy Mountain. Both were a blast! We highly recommend paying extra to ride down the Pigeon River rapids in the smaller raft, which is termed, "The Extreme Ride." Don't let the name fool you; what this really meant was that we were able to work more closely with our guide to have a more personalized experience. All the people in the larger rafts spent a lot of time watching us have more fun, ha! My wife in her own words was, "nervous" about her first whitewater rafting trip, but "had a blast" and "was really glad we chose "The Extreme" ride."

The bed: We both found the bed to be comfortable. I suffer from chronic neck and back pain and didn't have any issues sleeping.

It would have been nice to have a cutting board available.

1) While very comfortable to lie down on, the couches uncomfortably pushed our heads forward when we sat on them. We were unable to sit on them for an extended period of time. I and my wife are 6'5" and 5'8", respectively, so feel free to take that into consideration.

2) At night, the dining room, living room, and the area surrounding the pool table were dimly lit. We believe the interior wood walls played a big part in this; the lack of lighting could easily be remedied by using brighter bulbs (LED perhaps) in the fixtures.

Great stay!

I enjoyed the cabin. Perfect size for a couple and very open interior. The indoor Jacuzzi tub and pool table were nice. The location was good. I didn't have a problem driving up the fairly steep hills to get there, but I'd be nervous if the weather were rougher. This cabin made for a great weekend and I plan to use this cabin again at some point in the future.

Private Wooded Retreat off the beaten path for a Refreshing Weekend Getaway

Excellent location, great privacy at the end of a small mountain road. loved waking up in the loft bedroom looking out expansive windows into the forest and mountain views in the distant. Great open floor plan, close enough to the park and trails but far enough for quiet and seclusion. Cabin was in great condition, comfy bedding and couches, check in/out process was a breeze, very helpful staff. Would re book here in a heartbeat!

This cabin was absolutely amazing!!! Everything looked just like the photos that we saw online before getting there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful week away.

We were surprised with unexpected snow and ice and cold. We were cabin bound from Monday afternoon until Sunday morning. The sleet started on Monday afternoon. Heartland called everyday to check on us and even sent a pizza to us on Friday afternoon, because we could not get down the mountain. It is a great cabin, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We want to go again - in warmer weather so that we can enjoy all the area has to offer. Thank you for everything.

Very relaxing.

We stayed for four nights. I was a bit apprehensive after the gps took us directly through the mountain pass to the rental office. Something that they tell you not to do in the directions and we did it anyway. Mistake. Read their directions! They will get you there in one piece. Once there the drive to our cabin was fine. You don't need a four wheel vehicle to get to it as I've read about other cabins. It is beautiful You have neighbors but you never see them because of the way the cabins are situated. We never heard anyone else except for distant dogs.

Better than expected!

Unfortunately we had to cut our trip shorter than we planned due to family emergencies, but the cabin was great. We enjoyed the coziness, the tranquility, and most of all the jacuzzi! Very relaxing during a much needed time in our lives. The staff were helpful and kind. Will definitely return.

A fun and relaxing stay outside of the city!

The cabin was beautiful and secluded which is what we were hoping for. We were able to drive into the city and see the attractions then go back to our secluded cabin in the beautiful mountains. We especially enjoyed the big jacuzzi tub and the hot tub.
